Tuscan Kitchen
The restaurant that started Tuscan Brands opened in Salem in 2010 and now fills the ground floor of The Artisan Hotel at 19 Via Toscana. The move here is the Tagliatelle al Tartufo, made tableside with 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano, grappa and shaved black truffle, at market price. Open until 10 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The menu also runs a long antipasti and crudo list, house pastas and steaks up to a 48-ounce tomahawk. The Capital Grille
Dry-aged steaks, seafood and a deep wine list in a clubby room at 19 Artisan Dr. Open until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 4 p.m. on weekends.
The Colosseum
Chef Annibale Todesca opened this Southern Italian restaurant on North Broadway in 1987. The house namesake is the Seafood Colosseum over linguine; for steak, there’s the NY Steak alla Pat Whitley. Open until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, closed Mondays; book on OpenTable. 264 N. Broadway. In the same plaza, Grand India is the call if one of you wants biryani instead.
Black Water Grill
A chef-owned grill at 43 Pelham Rd. with seared scallops, a 10-ounce filet and a lounge. Reservations are recommended, though the outdoor deck is first come, first served. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
Sevmar Mediterranean Bistro
Mezze to share, Gaby’s Signature Kabobs and live music every Thursday night. 401 Main St., open until 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Rooftop drinks and a wine bar
- The Rooftop at The Artisan: cocktails and shareable plates on top of the hotel, with a 24-seat bar, lounge nooks built for year-round use and views over Tuscan Village. Menu highlights include Wagyu & Frites and lobster fried rice; Rose’s Focaccia, at $8, is the low-cost way in. Its own site lists late hours on Fridays and Saturdays; check before you go.
- AV Wine Bar, 16 Artisan Dr.: New Hampshire-grown wines from Appolo Vineyards in Derry with chef-made small plates. The bar says Appolo was the state’s first vineyard certified as sustainable. Open until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Mondays in October bring a Wine 101 class with a sommelier, 6–8 p.m.
- Dreo Food & Drink, 254 N. Broadway: about 35 house cocktails, shareable plates and the namesake Dreo Fire Shrimp. Happy hour runs Monday–Thursday, 4–5 p.m.

Walk it off at Lake Park
After dinner, walk the pond at Lake Park, the center of Tuscan Village. In season, the Lake Park stage hosts live music; the September 2026 schedule ran Thursdays 5–8 p.m., Fridays 6–9 p.m. and weekend afternoons, with DJs until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. At festivals, gondolas carry riders across the water. On cooler nights, find a seat at the fire-pit lounges, or at the Sun Cruiser Social Club, where container bars sit beside fire pits and lawn games until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Dates that don’t start at a table

Split a Neapolitan pizza at Tuscan Market, where pies run $19–24, then walk Lake Park and window-shop the main street. Salt & Straw and Crumbl handle dessert. Parking is free, and so is the walk.
Date nights by season
- Fall: the free Parmigiano Reggiano Festival on Oct. 10–11, 2026, with a Sinatra tribute band at Lake Park on Saturday. Then Screeemfest.
- Winter: after a good snow, rent snowshoes at America’s Stonehenge and walk its trails, then warm up at dinner. - Spring and summer: Canobie’s evening hours, with the 80-foot Giant Sky Wheel over the lake, live music at Lake Park, and free Friday concerts at Field of Dreams Park, where beer and wine are sold on the green.
